This might be a legitimately sensible approach to computing practices using human brain tissue. The scientists are taking very careful approaches with the ethics and application practices.
And the input requirements are really low for what its capable of doing….to a degree I worry many other industrial interests might get nervous about its potential to disrupt established silicon based solutions.
I can delete if it is too old an article.
I’m honestly more concerned about science putting implants into human brains prematurely and not making sure that it’s actually safe to do so..eg neuralink implants

Why do we talk about specifically human brain tissue?
Do brains or rats or other animals fit less?
