    1. Yes doesn’t really seem like that big of a problem. If we’re going to have a real permanent lunar base then it’s going to happen. but we’re not going up there to study the moon more. People will do that, I’m sure. But that’s not the primary goal

The money pushing this doesn’t care, neither do their worshippers. Infinite resources will be hoarded and the overwhelming majority of you will find it even harder to survive, but hurray! We’re about to trash the entire solar system!

No it’s not. That’s sick as hell. It’s time to create a new biosphere.

    4. I don’t see the issue here. Worst case scenario we introduce life to the moon that might evolve in way we can’t image to exist beyond our presence on the moon. I would only be cautious if we’re possible contaminating a clear and obvious ecosystem, or indicators of an unknown ecosystem. Currently we have no indication of a current ecosystem on the lunar surface, or on Mars so I say send it.

    5. Microbes on Mars would be a huge problem as that would obscure our ability to find out if there is native Mars life. No one is hoping that we find life on the Moon so who cares if we drop microbes there.

Not really, nasa now knows about it and will try everything they can to mitigate problems. China on the other wont care. They’ve already polluted 80-90% of their own ground water and destroyed their own seabed to the point they have to send fleets of fishing boats to turn off their transponders and illegally and unsustainably fish waters of other countries

    7. sorry /u/ScientificAmerican i won’t be subscribing to read some clearly wrong bullshit lmfao
