I feel like gunn is to obsessed with minor characters instead of establishing the core group. Time will tell obviously but not getting superman, batman and wonder woman out as your first set of films is certainly a choice.

I don’t think the television shows were a mistake I think trying to tie them in directly to the movies was.
Daredevil on Netflix was the blueprint. It referred to the incident in New York (Avengers) but it wasn’t connected at all outside of that.

The DCU should honestly stick to what worked for them in the past: A non-shared universe of well made individual films. Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy did very well. The first Joker, The Batman…

– Captain America v Iron Man: Dawn of Justice
– Thunderbolts
– Black Widow
– Avengers
They mean these guys?

– Iron Man
– Punisher Season 2
– Iron Heart
– Sandman
– Iron Man 2

How about, just how about, they do a Superman movie, a Batman movie, a WonderWoman movie, maybe also give Cyborg, Green Lantern and whoever they want also a movie, or a series, or just a secondary or small role (like we saw with Black Widow and Hawkeye before Avengers) and then and only then do Justice League!!!

I think the only TV spinoff of the new DCU was Penguin limited series.
I haven’t seen it, but I’m guessing it fleshes out the Batman franchise without being required to watch for continuity.

No it isn’t. It’s canceling things because Supergirl was such a failure the executives don’t have faith in Gunn’s plans.
