      My mom used to have a huge Armenian ancestry percentage on her ancestry.com 8 years ago and it’s completely disappeared to 0%. While I believe that’s possible from a dna standpoint as the numbers dilute, we have the documentation of the Armenians in her family. How does the DNA on these websites flip so strangely? What is truth?

      The dates of acceptance should also be included on the map. The funny thing is that many countries only accepted this after experiencing political problems that threatened Turkey. For example USA also did it, after s400 crisis.

      **The question is:** Does any INTERNATIONAL COURT recognise this (so-called) Armenian Genocide?
      Answer: **NO**

      I think a global map might be more useful for this but outright denial is definitely a choice. Also kinda funny to see Spain not say a word about this

      The only genocide was the one committed by the Armenians against the Turks, they killed 519,000 Turks and as a response the Turks deported them away from the Russian front to another part of the empire (Syria).

      They colluded with the Russians and took over a Turkish city and handed it over to the Russians.

      They tried to kill all the Turks in eastern Turkiye to create their great Armenian state.

      They were very treacherous and opportunistic.

      Many people know about the genocide, but few people know about Operation Nemesis (revenge of the Armenians). I advise you to read/watch videos about it, it’s incredible

      Didn’t the Turkish autocrat send people to prison because merely mentioning the genocide falls under a law against „Insulting the Turkish people“ ?

      That’s a little more than denial.

      There were never any ICC trials for the Armenian Genocide; nothing similar to the Nuremberg trials for the nazis. The acceptance of the genocide by these countries is political, not criminal.

      Which means if the political winds shift, you’ll see many of these countries walk back on their claims. Because from the legal standpoint, that’s all they are: claims.

      This map is not up to date, Israel recently recognized it.

      Interesting thing about Armenian Genocide recognition is that countries who recognized it either have a politically powerful Armenian diaspora or they had a beef with Turkey and wanted to settle a score.

      No country recognised the Armenian Genocide because it was the right thing to do.

      Which throws the legitimacy of the whole thing into question.

      why does the world hate Türkiye so much? Theres literally dozens of papers stating that the greeks and armeniens killed many turkish residents and ganged up first. And in 1915 the sultan had to make a law stating that the armeniens have to go to upper parts of Syria because they were killing turkish residents, burning down towns and killing children too. The world still doesnt accept these legal documents true.

      I have a few genuine questions for the Armenians. Because I don’t know these things I’m about to ask and have difficulties finding trustworthy resources.

      Do you consider Ottomans as just Turks? If so, why?

      Where do you place today’s Turkey?

      Since it was a multinational empire with Armenian royals in the palace, do you also consider them as guilty, or is it solely on the Turks?

      Why is recognition from Turkey so important?

      The Ottomans have a long history of „mistreating and torturing“ minorities, but there were also Armenian royals in the palace even around the 1900s. But, there were other minorities that got lost in the systematic assimilation programs that had no representatives and they had no chance, especially the rebels/anarchists got their heads chopped, hanged etc. in public to make an example. There were also bandits running the towns and torturing these same minorities, especially the non-muslim folk, and some of these caused „civil wars“ and they were also ignored by the royals including the Armenians. However, I don’t see Armenians bringing any of those up. So, my question is, what are the Armenians basing it on to call it a genocide and how is it different from other minorities?

      When did the genocide start and when did it end?

      What is your take from the WWI era and how do you position the Armenians?

      What is the place of Armenians in today’s Turkey?
