Why doesn’t Japan realize that this industry completely contradicts core Eastern values and actively discourages birth rates. They’d better just ban it. Sure, it’s somewhat entertaining, but it paints Japanese women in a certain light, and some words and sounds have become so distorted in nuance that using them in everyday communication instantly makes me think of av. Not to mention a whole host of social consequences, especially for young girls who get lured into this industry
The law was fundamentally flawed. If you give one party the right to cancel a valid deal whenever they feel like it, you can’t be mad when the other side mirrors that behavior with cheap workarounds. Both sides are ignoring the original agreement.

I get that Japan stigmatises adult actresses even more than we do in the West but I feel like a deals a deal, right? It doesn’t seem like good business to have one party be able to unilaterally cancel a contract with no repercussions at any time.
