Soldiers attacking other soldiers? What is this the 2022?
A boat ride, especially in one of these, as a soldier would be so damn terrifying. You’re chances of somehow making it seem so, so, so much lower.
Not only are you wounded, but then you have to use everything inside of you to try and swim to land, where, as low as chances are, you at least there is a chance that you can possibly, maybe, just have teeny tiny sliver of hope if you pass out you might wake up.

I wouldn’t be surprised to learn that they have a better quality of life as Ukrainian POWs, than they do as Russian soldiers.
