As one of the filthy American observers…can someone explain the funeral references? Did Mayo jinx themselves at some point by blocking a funeral with a team bus or something?

One benefit of the all-Ireland finals being played in July is that the homecomings take place when the evening are long and the weather is often good. I think it makes them look a lot better.
