      Sorry for being tense, I just had another negative encounter with one. The old men here are ruining the country. The only time I ever have bad encounters in Japan is with them.

      I thought tax evasion was already a crime and non-citizens are basically already guaranteed to lose their status of residence if they end up with a criminal conviction?

      But I suppose let’s not let reality stop the government from pandering to the racists.

      This is going to be used as a pretext to audit every PR holder until they find any excuse to kick them off of the status. I’m sure the worst news is yet to come still for people on PR.

      I do hope we can still return to our home countries for a few years, study, family issues, retain PR while receiving exemption from pension and health contributions in Japan, as we will be paying them in the other country.

      Give them time and they will find a way to revoke PR for those of us that got it years ago. I have no doubt it will happen.

      It’s every fucking day at this point. Us PRs actually pay taxes otherwise we wouldn’t have PR in the first place. I honestly feel like they’re making it impossible to get and introducing laws that allow them to rescind those already earned – they don’t want anyone to be on PR. Takaichi, get some fucking sleep

      Are these crimes currently treated differently? Like, you won’t lose PR but face fines. Is this changing it so they can strip you of PR for the accusation of tax evasion and deport you?
