It’s an adornment that is usually hung from 한복 or traditional Korean clothing. The images on the medal are 탈출, which are masks that are worn during Korean folk theater performances or dances. It looks like a souvenir piece!
That adornment is called a Norigae(노리개). It is a traditional Korean accessory worn by women with Hanbok, usually hung from the coat string (goreum/고름) of the jacket or the waistband of the skirt.
Those mask-like items are Talchum(탈춤) masks, which are from a traditional Korean performing art involving masked dancing and acting. Instead of being confined to a single area, various types of Talchum developed across many different regions. The one on the left looks like the Aesa-dang(애사당) or Oejangnyeo(왜장녀) mask from the Yangju, while the one on the right looks like the Baekjeong (butcher/백정) or Yangban (nobleman/양반) mask from the Hahoe masks of Andong.
+ I tried my best to find the exact same ones, but because the colors were painted differently, they are not completely identical to the originals.
wall adornment (fashioned after the norigae, 노리개, i believe). my family has a few of these with different designs and they’re hung on the wall. don’t have a size reference but unless that metal piece is the size of golf ball that looks too big to be a 노리개. traditional 노리개 s are usually knots w/ or w/o embroidered piece and/or jade (sometimes gold, silver, amber or other stone) pieces followed by a long tassel, not a metal enamel designed plate. without the tassel, the rest of it should easily fit in your hand. however having said that, if the metal plate is small, it could be a mini wall adornment, made as a souvenir. its just definitely not a traditional norigae
It looks Korean, but more like a decorative souvenir than something Koreans commonly use today.
The middle has traditional mask designs, similar to Hahoe masks, and the red/blue/yellow swirl is the Taegeuk symbol seen in the Korean flag. The knots and tassels also look like traditional Korean decorative knotwork.
Most younger Koreans probably wouldn’t know the exact meaning, but it gives off a traditional good-luck / blessing decoration vibe.
