      Good. That video was absolutely ridiculous, making a mockery of the National Park rules, and putting that bear and dog and themselves at risk. Those people don’t deserve to own a dog. I hope they get fined to the max extent and learn from this.

      Max fine is what I am hoping for. People who have their dogs off leash on any walking trail annoy the fuck out of me. Not exactly the same but on walking trails near me I have had a few scary incidents with supposedly “ friendly“ dogs approaching me and my leashed dog trying to start something.

      This could have been so much worse.

      Make an example of them with the max allowable fine and use it for an awareness campaign.

      I didn’t even need to see more than three seconds of the video to know that it was their stupidity about having a yappy off leash dog. Sometimes the internet does good things.

      I fear off leash dogs running up and down trails. Whenever I encounter such dogs I immediately pull out my bear spray and when the owners see what’s in my hand they freak out that I would harm their babies.

      The proliferation of social media must have truly lightened the burden of proof from the shoulders of the courts and law enforcement considering the number of individuals who are drawn to self-incriminate by documenting their crime(s) in photographic or video evidence and then share it with others or publish it online.
