This is scary. On a side note, not to take away the seriousness of this, the author’s name is Holly Fleck, which, given the situation and piece of news, I read as Holy Feck. Sorry.

Well done Gardai. Another potential Omagh averted

At least half of the dissident extremist Republicans must be all informing on each other at this point.
The other half are just Gardaí.

Sounds a little more serious than the improvised propane bottle from a few weeks ago

Well done to the Gardai. I’d be very interested to know whether this was a random stop or not.

I wonder is there any link to the army helicopter that’s been doing low laps of Dundalk all morning?

So they’re back out planning on giving up other people’s lives and limbs, causing death, misery and destruction – after all the decades of tireless work on peace processes and building a better future. It’s horrifying and depressing tbh.

Who do they think they are representing? Finally tourism, investment etc is flourishing in the 6 counties. And better still none of the death that, as a kid of the 70s from near the border, I saw every day on the news. Probably using republicanism as a cover for organized crime activities. Tits probably couldn’t even spell IRA.

It could either be left wing terrorists or it could be a loyalist false flag event to drum up support for a hard border
