It was quite nice to hear their vocals instead of the beat heavy songs they usually do. It would have been nice to have some switch up ending though, rather than repeating the chorus. The Demi Moore cameo was interesting. The Jollibee product placement was so in your face lol.

It’s like Hybe’s formula is to release a song which will be perceived as controversial like Gnarly, Internet Girl or Pinky Up and then follow up with a commercial/generic sounding song which fans will praise simply because the bar is on the floor
This is not meant to be slander against Katseye as individuals btw, they have so much potential as artists which is not reflected in whatever Hybe is doing with them

I hope no one takes this the wrong way as I’m an eyekon but there are some stylistic aspects of this song that I don’t think fit some of the members voices the best… I could imagine Lara singing this entire song and having a better end product.
Overall though, it was nice (6-7/10 for me), if they’re going to do more pop I would love them to get closer to touch but I kind of think they were finding their lane with the hyper-pop stuff.
Edit: I don’t fully understand the concept of the mv, it seems a bit random but maybe I need to watch it a few more times for it to click 😭

Safe, bland, kinda feels like you’ve heard it before but not quite. Will probably be added to every retail store’s playlist by the end of next week. 4 big writers and 2 big producers making a song like this is always a surprise to me, but it’ll probably be a big hit at the end of the day.
Wouldn’t be surprised if their fans get frustrated by listeners complaining the last one was too much and this one is too little.

Hmm it’s like after the backlash they got from the last few releases, they decided to play it too safe that it became boring and generic. I just want them to find some sort of musical identity/sound so badly. I feel like I have whiplash going from Touch to Gnarly to Gabriela to Internet Girl etc like I just don’t understand what HYBE/Geffen is trying to do with this group. It’s like they have no vision or concept or idea for what they want them to be at all because every release just feels so random. I also just really miss Manon’s presence in the group and that could be affecting some of my feelings but I felt like this before she went on “hiatus” tbh.
