It’s interesting to me that Saudi Arabians wanted to hear Weird Al preform so bad.

Don’t get me wrong, the dude’s a legend, but it kinda seems like the last person I’d expect that to want badly enough to pay a million to

What a stand-up guy! Nice when your childhood heroes turn out to be who you hoped they were/are ❤️

Weird Al has always been the man. The mockumentary with Daniel Radcliffe was wild.

I’m pretty sure the man turned down an endorsement with a beer brand because he knew he had a lot of young fans. Millions.

      We don’t deserve Weird Al.

    5. He also turned down a lot of money to star in a software commercial because he found out it was an AI company and he didn’t want to be AI’s poster boy.

      He’s a real gem.

I don’t even know why this has to make news. We all know Weird Al is a saint among men.

I’ve always loved Weird Al. He’s a great example of how to be a celebrity AND have a moral backbone simultaneously. Everyone who performed at that fucking festival no longer matters to me.

    8. When I find myself in a dilemma I just repeat the mantra, “What Would Weird Al Do?”

Go see his concert! Support this man! (I saw it last week and it was very fun)

Just saw Weird Al perform the other night. He was amazing! Check him out on tour!

Weird Al has always been one of the most stand-up dudes in all of entertainment. This doesn’t shock me one bit. Meanwhile, as much as I try to let it slide, people like Bill Burr are no longer funny to me, I can’t stomach them to be honest. Dave Chappelle too, he can get fucked twice.

Dude started out on the right foot. Turned down a deal with Budweiser in the late 80s/early 90s worth like $5 million because he wasn’t comfortable pushing alcohol, knowing how many fans of his were kids.

He supports a bunch of charities as well. Human Rights, veterans affairs, supporting musicians living with AIDS, fighting children’s cancer.

Depending on what lens you view it through, about the only thing he’s done that could be a tick against him was ‚Fat.‘ But as far as I know he dropped it from his live set list (along with Eat It). Mostly I think because of the Michael Jackson angle, but still.

Al should be a role model for all of us, but specifically – as he has stated he’s a Christian in the past – he should be admired by Christians.
