Population Growth *Rate* peaked but Population *Growth* did not. There are still going to be a lot more people tomorrow than there were yesterday.
I’m willing to bet we’re gonna have decreasing global population well before 2100.

this is like saying you lost 2 pounds last week, so you will weigh zero pounds in a year.
so everything just scales down? what’s the big deal?
Over 2% a year was an absurd growth rate that thankfully didn’t last.
Late 50s decline due to the great leap forward?
The population has almost tripled since 1963 – how is it possible it was below 2% that whole time?
I’d say right about 1990 is where they kicked into high gear the marketing that said: „there’s too many people & the world is going to end“
