Definitely worth voting on this. I personally don’t agree with the idea of putting people on Eurozone bank notes as it will result in some countries‘ iconic figures and cultural output being platformed, and others being ignored and that’s not ideal in a union of countries that don’t necessarily share all of those things.

The birds idea is much nicer, as they do actually fly around Europe and appear pretty much everywhere.

    2. I also don’t like faces on banknotes and prefer animals, like South Africa has on their currency (which is gorgeous btw), so I’m happy they have animal options here (J is especially nice). I do hope they can include more animals than just birds, however.

Any of the portrait ones with the birds look good. I and J but leaning more towards I

    4. „While the ECB provided guidelines for the creation of the designs, the resulting proposals are solely based on the artist’s creative rendition. “

      ECB Guidelines: „Birds or people“

    5. I was kind of hoping for an updated version of the irish pound. Horse, Fish, bull

    6. H or J. I don’t like the idea of people on banknotes when this is to encompass many countries. This is the reason for stylised bridges on the current notes.

Birds and buildings are fine. Prefer H due to continuity with current notes horizontal format

This was really cool, thanks for sharing. I loved completing it in Irish too!

    8. They’re all a bit underwhelming. I suppose the birds are nice, at least, but the one’s with the faces are absolutely atrocious.

    9. So many birds!!! Love to see it, I am same as you and don’t really like the people options.

Love all the bird ones but especially D I H and J…. I realise that’s most of them but honestly I wouldn’t be upset if any of those are the final choice.

F is the only faces one I didn’t hate. A was particularly horrifying, feel like they’re glaring at me

Don’t like the idea of faces
But I do like the prospect of having some Da Vincis in my pocket. 💶

I took part in the survey, I particularly liked design H. The ones with faces were mostly terrible and I don’t like that idea in the first place. Shout out to the 20 euro note for design H though, stunning bit of paper.

It would be nice to see all designs together rather than having to vote as you flick through them.

Yeah, keep the local historical figures for the coins. Opens a can of worms otherwise.

    15. Hey Europe, can we have some new bank notes with animals on t..*BIRDS*

Yeah birds are nice, but what about some other anima..***BIRDS***

      Maybe some deer, bears, wolve..***B I R D S!***

That’s a bunch of disapproving faces. I already feel bad about spending money I don’t need to be judged by the money as well.

Birds are better than people on the bank notes. You just know that putting people on the notes will lead to pointless conflict.

Love the bird design. I think it’s the 3rd design, looks so cool and a little Japanese to me, I hope some of these win

      J and D for me.

And despite what some people have said about the orientation, I like it; it’s different. And it will change again in 10 or so years.

    20. H for me.

I may be a bit old fashioned. I don’t like vertical banknote designs.

    21. The human references should not be used, because invariably famous people are revealed to be perverts or cunts. So let’s stick to nature, birds, butterflies, etc.
