I wouldn’t have guessed that Algeria is more developed than Morocco. Particularly when you consider the high-speed rail network and them hosting international events more regularly.

I’m bad when it comes to pacific island countries. Which one is that one in green off the coast of the Philippines?

It’s always such a shock how bolivians and venezuelans who migrate to Chile/Uruguay perceive there’s a huge difference in development between theirs and our country, I’ve never been to their countries, but I always hear them praise Chile/Uruguay’s infrastructure, technology, even their visa benefits around the world, while me being Chilean I don’t really see what we have that much, even though I try.

Jordan, Botswana, and Mongolia all below Turkmenistan is kinda surprising

This map is fine, but if I had to choose between living in Sri Lanka or Turkmenistan versus Morocco or India, I think I would still prefer living in Morocco or India.

Wait, my homeland of BiH is more developed than average? I mean, OK, I don’t know what metrics they used, but I also don’t want to know what’s life like in these undeveloped countries then.
