I feel like in this day and age, money can’t simply „vanish“, not unless it came in the form of actual physical cash and a magician performed a magic trick to make it disappear. There has to be some sort of audit trail or account number or wire transfer or something that indicates where that money went to. Unfortunately, the people that would be responsible for tracking it down are all compromised, because Americans are dumb and voted in the most corrupt person in the history of the world to be their leader. Future generations will look back at this point in time and wonder what the fuck was wrong with everybody.

Go back Rubio’s original testimony before the senate. The money leaving Venezuela was transferred to a private account in Saudi Arabia. It to be transferred to a US account held by the treasury. Remember bio testified the money leaving the US account t would be audited on how Venezuela spent the money. He never committed to auditing the money leaving Venezuela or leaving the private Saudi account.
Rubio is every bit as corrupt as the Castro government. 25% chance that he faces any sort of legal punishment, but the trials/hearings will take YEARS to move through the system along with appeals, etc. so he’ll croak before any actual punishment is handed out.
If we ever get a sane, responsible government again, I really hope that they just ruthlessly repossess all of the Trump family’s wealth. We can’t allow this to stand. I don’t really care what kind of precedence it sets at this point. We can deal with that down the road, but we can’t allow this. There needs to be severe punishment for all of this.
