Not just for students! Crippling expensive for almost anyone who doesn’t already have a home

And I bet the top 13 are all far larger and have more to see and do each than our entire country could ever dream of.

Why would someone expect there to be loads of things to do for free.

Who exactly is going to provide those “things” ?

Dublin, as someone who lives there and travels a lot to different cities, is crazy expensive in return for what you receive.
Even going for lunch out is ridiculously overpriced. A sandwich for €12-15 euro depending on what you get is really counter-intuitive within the marketplace itself. Then a coffee or mineral is another €3.50.

A bottle of cold water, which isn’t usually cold these days, is anywhere between €2.50-€4. Anywhere else in Europe a bottle of cold water, which it would be, is below €1.50, at the most.

Going out for take-away is more or less priced the same as eating in some of the ‘specialised’ pub food places, which is so processed these days that it has lost its charm of what eating in a pub used to be.

Then going for dinner with our amazing hospitality, Ireland was renowned for, which is clearly in a downward trend, is absurd money for the return. A couple going for dinner now in a pub is €60-€100 minimum. A couple moving out of pub food and into the next bracket up, like pizza sit down can be €75-€125 easily. The next step up is where a couple would go to celebrate an occasion or even date night you’re talking €125-€200 pending courses and wine/drinks. The crash is coming, if not already evident, when sitting in these empty atmospheres with service by a teenager who has clearly not been trained.
Dublin is a poor holiday choice these days and it’s our own fault. We moved to much towards Globalisation which meant losing a lot of our charm!

I think the last people deserving sympathy are wealthy students from abroad.
