Ubtech launches 10 different humanoid robot companions. 5 Male/5 Female. All extremely good-looking & in their 20s. Just what "companionship" do they think people want from robots?

Unfortunately, the lack of female companionship in itself is not what makes them tragic, its the side effect. With one of these bots they would just add ‚i had a long talk with my girlfriend about this and she also agrees with me‘ to the end of every online argument
Does this remind anyone of the vocalids? The holographic singers? Would people go to concerts to watch them? This feels like an extension of that, a product of the loneliness epidemic and exhaustion, which doesn’t allow people to create community.
>*all extremely attractive.*
I guess beauty really is in the eye of the beholder.
I mean… if they can make the robots also be able to house, feed and deliver a baby through like in-vitro methods (which obviously currently cannot), then what would be the problem?
is that what you call good looking? FFS it looks like wax figure from mme tussauld
They also plan to reincarnate dead people into humanoids using 3D facial reconstruction and voiceprint replication.
Sounds like someone never had to watch [the educational video](https://youtu.be/JPQJBgWwg3o?si=6Av_Y-acqQj8BKh_) in health class
Could you pilot one of these with a VR headset and movement trackers?
