    1. I’m not sure but I’m curious about this topic, I’m planning to do something similar in the near future

Is this the remus cutback for golf gti 7? If yes, there should be a CE number on it. No need for extra legalization…i had one on a golf 7 r, perfectly legal. Does it come with the middle silencer or is the one on your pic the stock one?

Do you have any other modifications ? If no, it’s a simple process and it should have the ECE. Any other modification will require a TUV document because the exhaust had only been tested and validated with stock parts. My focus RS is stage 3 so I know a few things about the hassle. I have a Remus on it as well.

    4. You can try but chance not to get through. have to go to one of the listed service points

I love Reddit warriors. To the guy who commented that I am wrong and I can’t see his post, [u/ELQY9656](u/ELQY9656), I have a binder full of TUV papers for my car with evidence on every part and modifications registered in my grey card.

I had a lovely discussion with Mr. TREINEN from TUV who was based in Contern 6 years ago and he told me everything I needed to know about parts and their homologation.

I spent quite a bit of money to buy parts and to give an example on how Tuning companies in Lux lie to you. I was never told that I will have issues with the paperwork and spend extra for all the parts that had EU homologation. One of the parts I got was HJS EUR VI 200 cell down pipe. Had all the paperwork. When I installed it with my Remus exhaust which also had all the paper work they were both illegal on the car because they were never homologated together. But wait ! There is more 👍🏻. My 2 way club sport from Manthey Racing came with homologation but it was null and void because I had my HJS Sport Kat, Remus exhaust, REVO 3 inch CAI, IC WAGNER TUNING (this one had homologation too but was voided). Some other goodies, include deck brace, piper cams, modified block, dual catch cans, short shifter , etc.

If you buy a part with homologation and you only keep that part and change nothing else, you will not have any issues with the controle technique. The moment you ad an extra part even a sports air filter your modifications become illegal.
