      In before the usual lamenting about „leaving our garbage everywhere“ by people who don’t realize how massive space is and how little it compares to waste generated on Earth.

    2. Shame we don’t have more crafts on the surface and in orbit that could utilize this crash more. A lot could be learnt from scanning the dust such a crash throws up, and from the seismic sensors on the surface.

      Space is so big and empty, seems crazy that they’re not able to avoid such a collision

    4. Just a few months after this Jan 2025 launch, SX started deorbiting GTO launch upper stages. So we may not ever see this again.

      Also, for the „space is big“ crowd, this discarded stage is expected to pass within a couple of kilometers of a Korean lunar orbiter.
