Kann mir jemand helfen herauszufinden, welcher polnischen Partisanenorganisation oder Armeeeinheit mein Urgroßvater angehört haben könnte? Er war ein Pole aus der Gegend von Tarnopol (Ternopil). Hier sind zwei Fotos aus der Zeit des Zweiten Weltkriegs.

They must have been very succesful, because they have a STG44 in the second photo, the very first assault rifle in history. Very rare for an AK unit to have.

Its hard to identify the uniforms from that photos but if he was a polish partisant he was propably in AK as most of the organizations that existed decided to join them so thet could be stronger i wonder tho from where did they get the stg 44 as it was rare to find on the battlefield for a partisant
