Do you think Tulsi’s continued membership in this cult is what caused her to be so winning to support authoritarian leaders narratives/statements(Putin, Assad, etc)? Which eventually led her to being fully supportive of Trump? Or do you think her cult leader instructed her to more align with Trump as seeing him as the easier administration to emteench herself and manipulate to benefit the cults beliefs?
So… is she really working for another country?

If Butler ran a weird cult and Gabbard was a brainwashed disciple, why the love for Putin and for Assad’s Syria? Where does that originate? And how come the Democrats did not kick her out years ago?

The interesting part isn’t even Trump or Putin. It’s that someone unelected had that much influence over a member of Congress.
Tulsi is a Russian asset. We all know that.
Korea’s[ impeached and jailed](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2016_South_Korean_political_scandal) a president for something similar.
If only America could learn to hold the rich and powerful accountable for their actions.
As someone who previously lived in Hawaii, I am aware what an impact Gabbard’s father had on Tulsi. Gabbard’s father Mike was a man of immense contradiction who once owned a vegan deli that closed due to a loss of business due to him coming out against gay marriage. This is just another among other things like his constantly switching political parties and careers, almost comically so.
Do you feel that this life of wishy-washiness (for lack of a better term) rubbed off on his daughter?
It seemed that their family had some of the standard Samoan conservative leanings but sought power and approval in Hawaii which is obviously fairly liberal.
It seems like there were some interesting Indian influences in her life as well. Where do these come from? I was told her mother was from Indiana.
Were these recent revelations more about Tulsi trying to hold onto some modicum of power or was she really under the „spell“ of what can only be described as a cult?

I think it is irresponsible to assume that the chatbot can „perform a stylometric analysis.“ The reader has no reason to believe this portion has any merit. I’m actually really concerned no editor flagged this.
What’s the Russia connection? She obviously parrots Kremlin talking points.
Jon, I want to make sure I understand this situation. Are you alleging that Tulsi Gabbard had advisors when she was a member of Congress? I would find this shocking.

Say what now?
I’m sure Claude can simulate the output of such an analysis. But is it actually doing it? Has it been benchmarked in some way? Not something I’m an expert in, but I do know a bit about gen AI and I wouldn’t trust that what you’re getting from Claude is an actual analysis, any more than asking Claude to simulate a WaPo article is the real thing.
This is pretty disappointing from the Post.
Is the same Tulsi Gabbard whose brother tried to lure a 9 year old boy (according to Fox News New York)?

Can you explain your use of AI, and justify it in this current climate? For much of the sentiment going around about AI, especially that it feels more forced on us than useful, AI usage when you have a team of hardworking investigators at your side feels both disrespectful and less than ideal journalism.
Why do you think that Tulsi Gabbard has been thought of as being friendly towards Russia?
