    1. Data: Opta match event data (passes, shots, xG, momentum) for the final, via WhoScored/FotMob. Built with Three.js, custom JavaScript for the event-to-geometry mapping and the momentum timeline, Python+ffmpeg for the render. Full project: [wc26.bogachev.fr](http://wc26.bogachev.fr)

    2. This is a really cool way of visualising momentum, would be great if it was just a touch smoother looking haha, to be honest, slowing it down a bit would help

Is there one for the last final where Argentina completely dominated for 80 mins?

It looks nice, but it isn’t a good representation of the data. Why isn’t the time a constant factor?

    5. This looks cool but I don’t really know how to make sense of this.

Additionally, why is there a gap suddenly appearing? How should I interpret that?

Why didnt argentina play like how they played after getting 0-1’d the whole game??

Please someone tell me what the moving and bubbling colors in the pitch mean?

By sheer coincidence, this is the same animation as “woohoo” on The Sims

Looks like it’s alive. Reminds me of the pie at the end of the Stephen King film Thinner.
