When flying to yerevan , as the plane was descending , i felt very immense pain in my upper left teeth. Pressing on the teeth did not change the pain so I think it was from the inside of my teeth. This occured last year also but only a single tooth. This time it was approx 3-5 teeth. The pain mildly dropped once we landed on the runway. And after about an hour or 2 having landed , the pain dissapeared. I asked AI and it said it could be „barontolgia“ where I supposedly have cavities or holes in my teeth and so when pressure in air changes there is immense pain. What do you think it could be?
Dont know if its worth mentioning but i had a cavity cleaned and had filling about 3-4 months ago on a lower tooth and I didnt feel any pain on that tooth.

    3. Is it possible to get implant & crown same day as extraction or is a 1-3 month wait for healing necessary? I’m being told conflicting information

      Thanks

As someone who lives in the states and is completely confused on how to find a no bullshit dentists is it worth coming to Armenia for dental work? As in, how much cheaper is it and would there be any special considerations to be made?

I have braces to fix my overbite, I also have a bite plate on the top of my mouth where the tongue sits cuz of that I used to have a lisp first few months now it’s been 4 months and I barely notice it, question is, how long do bite plates usually sit in your mouth and when it’s the time the orthodontist removes them, thanks.

Does anyone in your profession in Armenia do spacer implants. My last baby tooth never fell out as a kid and the dentist had to surgically remove the tooth and put a spacer when i was a child. It eventually fractured after 10 years. I want to put a new one in but many dentist in armenia i have talked to dont do metallic spacer and want me to get a tooth implant but I dont want that. If you do it I would be happy to meet you.

    8. How much do you guys make per month? Sorry if this is an inappropriate question, but I have always wondered if it’s a lucrative career and worth the hassle

We leave on the morning of the 22nd. Can you recommend any reasonably priced places where my mom can get a night guard? She has really bad tmj and is very unhappy with the costly one she has from the states. I’m not even sure if there is a place with such a quick turn around, but figured I’d ask. Merci shat!

    11. What really is the difference between implant types? I tried to understand them once but couldn’t figure the out. I’ve seen brands talk about tiny details only dentists understand.

The types available, pros, cons, differences etc. In a scientific/detailed/professional manner.

Also, what protection laws are there in Armenia that gives security to clients? Is there a time limit?

For example i lost a molar tooth because of a bad wisdom extraction, that was impacting the molar. There’s a 2 year time gap but nevertheless the cause was an error by the dentist.

    12. Few questions
      – Which implants are the best cost/quality-wise? Does it make sense to put Swiss one instead of say Korean?
      – Is there a material for a crowns resistant to chipping/cracking? Got 3 crowns last year and all of them chipped now. One was Cerec, the other 2 hand-made and forged. Dentist was Armenian as well btw haha
      – Why so expensive? Lol

If you could give everyone one piece of advice to avoid needing implants in the future, what would it be?

What’s the situation with licenses in Armenia? After a couple of clinics that didn’t even issue receipts and where the quality left much to be desired, I get the feeling that some of them are operating under the table, and I’m not sure about the doctors’ training.

My question is this: After I visited my own dentist in another country, we completed all the necessary treatments, and at the end, the dentist told me that my teeth were fine and there were no remaining issues.

Then I came here and met a dentist in a casual gathering who works at one of the best dental clinics in this country. During our conversation, I mentioned that I had problems with my teeth and I need to visit my dentist much more frequently than others do, since I get tooth decay almost once every few months despite my good hygiene discipline, I showed them my dental X-rays, which had been taken immediately after my previous treatment, less than a month after my last visit to my original dentist.

Without even examining my teeth, the dentist looked at the X-rays and said, „Oh, another seven or eight of your teeth have problems and need treatment.“

Something similar happened to one of my friends at the same clinic. My friend didn’t have any dental complaints, except for one tooth, and after the examination, the dentist told them that at least ten teeth needed treatment. My friend ended up going there for about a year to have all of those procedures done.

I later showed the same X-rays to another dentist (much older with almost 40 years of experience), and they said, „No, these teeth are fine. Everything looks okay.“

So my question is: Why can one dentist say that you have dental problems while another says you don’t? Especially when the dentist at that clinic not only claimed there were problems but also went ahead and performed treatment on my friend. How can we know whom to trust? for example this was a clinic with great reputation, high standards, and is known for providing high quality procedures. Where do these differences in professional opinion come from?

For a person who has full implants on the lower jaw attached with glue (not sure what the correct term is, there are 6-8 implants ցեխով ամրացված), how often should they get the full bridge professionally cleaned to extend the life of the implants and to avoid infection?
