    1. There is surely a better colour gradient to use than black-dark blue-light green-red-yellow-mustard yellow

    2. Dominating the Olympics is fun but it kind of sucks butt to not have a single World Cup win.

Por qué ponen a Uruguay con cuatro estrellas si ahí mismo reconocen que ganaron dos veces?

Cool info, but absolutely terrible color choice for champion and 2nd Place.

What is going on with Italy and Germany since their last WC wins ?

The club culture is prevalent across Europe unlike South America and so the grassroots level talent nurturing is there. Is there something fundamentally wrong with their foundational programs or something else?

West germany should be on here because “technically” they did win and were a country.

This is cool and super interesting, but (besides the color scheme issues), the champion asterisk not being centered vertically is very frustrating visually.

I’m gonna be that guy and say that Uruguay’s world cups don’t count. In fact, anything before 1954 doesn’t count.

    9. You know, at the time, Zidane headbutting the Italian player in 2006 I thought was the worst thing he could have done because he got carded and they lost in penalties. Now I realize the genius of it because 20 years later, I can’t tell you who won since then (aside from Messi in 2022), but I sure as hell remember Zidane trucking that guy.

Italy is actually cursed after 2006. Group stage exit or no world cup. Thats all you get

    11. I know Brazil and Germany are not in their best shapes, but this grafic clearly shows they are soccer juggernauts through history

I now understand why people complain about the four stars on Uruguay’s jerseys!

    13. Italy’s sold their soul to win in 2006 Germany… karma is a bitch… they needed a little help from the ref to get by Australia, then watched Germany completely fall apart waiting for PKs, and then Zidane happened… it was not a pretty run unless you’re Italian. In some ways, very similar to Argentina’s run this year.
