    1. are the yellow lines supposed to be accurate?

because there is no line to Madrid, just a line to Barcelona which is definitely not the capital of Spain

It’s a bit hard to tell from the map. But isn’t at least Belarus, Ukraine and Russia missing?

Thats kinda impressive given the airport has only been open for 5 years, and a lot of that time was covid too

    4. Not every European country. Only those that actually have airports and aren’t currently restricteddue to sactions or fear of getting shot down.

Liechtenstein, Monaco, Andorra, San Marino and Vatican city don’t have airports.

Also there are currently no direct flights to Minsk or Moscow and no flights to Kiev either for related reasons.

There do appear to be direct flight to all the caucasus countries though.

    5. And still, compared to the size of the city Berlin airport has been planned out badly. It is the capital of Germany, but almost unreachable from many international airports outside the EU.

    6. This is wrong. Berlin to LJU doesn’t happen. I found a private charter flight however, are those included?

Also per most definitions there are at least 44 European countries, so which are you missing? Looks like at least Belarus, Russia, Ukraine.

The Kaukasus countries as well, which I guess is fair enough

    7. No flights to Moscow, Kyiv, Almaty, or Minsk. There are flights to Tbilisi, Baku, and Yerevan (although Armenia is arguably not European dependent on definition), but none of those are included on the map. Tbilisi and Baku should be included though if Istanbul is.

    8. Istanbul AirPort is on the European continent as well – Turkish airlines fly more countries than any other airline in the world ( they also hold the Guinness World Record for the most countries served by an airline)

    9. Definitely would not have guessed that given how poorly it’s connected to the rest of the world.

Its full name is „Berlin Brandenburg Willy Brandt Airport“, named after the former West Berlin Mayor and West German Chancellor.

    11. Is Berlin the city in Germany that constructed an airport, but it took too long, so it was never used?

I think Istanbul beats it. You can’t fly to iceland or Cyprus, but neither of these are in Europe.

The main iceland airport and capital is technically in north america.

      Also Cyprus is in asia.

From Berlin you can’t fly to Atyrau (busiest airport in European part of Kazakhstan), Minsk, Moscow.

    13. Isn’t Madrid busier than Barcelona? I’m too lazy to look up direct flights from Berlin to Madrid, but I assume there are

I don’t see Edinburgh, Cardiff or Belfast on that chart.

      Still countries.

      Still capitals.
