      That’s because it isn’t „everyone else“ anymore. It’s their own lives and/or people they actually care about.

      One general characteristic of MAGA is selective empathy. They don’t really start to really think about something until it affects them personally or enters their personal constellation. Even then, it’s kind of a crap shoot whether they learn anything from it.

      They also do not know how to cope and since they are so narrow-minded, almost everything upsets them. Whereas normal people learn how to adapt and know how to cope when everything sucks. They have to absolutely have their way so they crack when things go sideways.
