While I think they are incredibly talented and it is cool to have trails which become more accessible by this way.

I do, however, fear that this is becoming overdone and creating too much man-made interference in our natural landscape while also destroying paths that were perfectly serviceable and takes away some of the joy of going off-piste up mountain trails.

Though this is not in any shape or form a critique to the sherpas who I think are just solid workers and doing a job. This is squarely on whoever bankrolls.

Since 2005 the Sherpas have built around 200 paths in Norway, yet this always a newsworthy article each year.
