      Helsinki Police said emergency medical personnel alerted officers to a violent incident at 11.25am. The victim, a woman aged about 80, died at the scene.
      Police said officers arrested the suspect after he fled the location. The suspect is a man over the age of 50.
      According to the police’s initial findings, the victim and the suspect did not know each other before the attack.
      The case is being investigated under the Finnish offence of homicide.
      Police confirmed that the attack happened in a public place and said several patrols responded to secure the area and investigate the circumstances surrounding the killing.
      Several news outlets reported that the stabbing took place directly outside Kontula metro station.

      I just can’t understand why someone would take someone else’s life, no less a stranger’s. This woman has a family mourning her right now. A life cut short.

      Must have been alfa pvp junkie. There was similar incident in Malminkartano in spring. We need to start war against drugs
