    1. >a sunshine badge

      I like this phrase 😂

I currently have a „sunshine necklace“ from where my binocular straps go

    2. Hanko got me too. Forgot the sunscreen, arrogantly thought “I’ll just keep an eye on it and get out the sun early.”

By the time we noticed it, it was way, way too late. I feel like an idiot and am liberally applying aloe today. Never again!

    3. hell yeah naturally yet slowly getting my tan back, I’m aware uv is high rn tho so better to thread safety

    4. Well, lucky for you this was the end of it! Back to cold and rain from now on!

    5. Finland have enough sunshine indeed, couple days in a year, really soon it’s months and more months only cold and dark again

We have like 5 weeks without fucking night, even in south. It’s just compensated for the 5 weeks without day, and during which it is completely overcast for 3 weeks at a time.

    7. I mean I just had the Finnish heat (and stubidly dehydration) turn an underlying, non-critical, infection into a kidney infection that hospitalized me a few days ago at the ripe old age of 28.

We just got back from Greece and had no issues. Come to Finland and forget all about how to act in the sun… Stupid me

      Hoping to get discharged tomorrow.

Remember to apply some sunscreen if you’ll be driving for a long duration of time. My paws ALWAYS burn.

    9. I don’t understand how people always forget this but every place on earth gets the same amount of sun. It just gets distributed differently across the year. Weather determines how much there is direct sunlight but Finland has by average relatively clear sky compared to many other places in Europe.

      >Who said Finland doesn’t have enough sunshine?

Helsinki has more sunshine hours per year than Paris.
