Hallo Zusammen

Was wäre euer Vorgehen?

Buy touch up paint (color code on door side) for ca 20 euro and see chrisfixes channel on how to do it.

Re reporting it: usually only upon return of car, of course you can stay silent, however, only on major things that affect the value of the car, they would expect you to be honest

I can only give you two examples of returning cars to AMAG last year

1 car was on 59,500 km at the end of a 15,000 pa, 4 year lease. There were two areas that needed fixing, the insurance paid out for both and we paid the excess on two claims (IIRC CHF 200 or 250 each). We had been warned that some EV’s had depreciated more than the end of contract value but in the end this didn’t happen and we walked away.

1 car was at 68,000 km on a 20,000 pa, 4 year lease. The receipt I got when returning the car had a higher market value than the end-of-lease contract value. Again there were two areas of damage. The biggest issue was that I had changed insurance in the final year of the lease and one of the areas of damage happened with the first insurer and I never got the car fixed. Both Insurance companies both moaned, but in the end, I think because of the low milage compared with the lease agreement, AMAG absorbed the cost based on the market value. I definitely didn’t get any bills for insurance excess payments, nor did anyone at the garage say anything about unexpected EV depreciation costs vs end of contract value.

If it were to happen again, I’d just get the car fixed immediately with the Vollkasko insurance (I assume AMAG mandated this, even for a used car lease, they definitely do for new cars).

Under the terms of my lease the repair had to be done at an AMAG approved repair centre, so check your lease agreement. At the end of the day, that damage is more than the excess, so you’re not saving any money by going to a non-approved repair shop.

edit – I thought there was a dent in the A-Pillar too, but I think that’s just the reflection of your phone. Try with the touch-up and if anything gets said, make a claim on your insurance at the end of the lease, (or before you change insurance).
