Oh, the title of the article left me imagining that they discharged her on a freezing afternoon and she literally froze. It sounds like she repeatedly declined to follow medical advice, including to go to urgent care, and they’re not sure exactly how she got into this state.
Anyone experiencing a catastrophic medical event like this is a tragedy, but based on this article alone, I’m not convinced the facility was actually at fault.

I have told my wife at most give me a year to recover. But do not feel obligated to be there every single day. You still have to live your life.
