They say the plane’s tail was hit and that it was a trainer, not a combat aircraft. We still haven’t seen any photos, though. It is all just talk for now.

„it wasn’t destroyed by Ukraine – we pressed the emergency disassembly and celebratory fireworks“ button. – Putin.

    3. The Russians can stop these attacks from happening at any moment. All they have to do is fuck off home and leave Ukraine alone. Bonus points for introducing Putin to a high up window.

Given how effective drones are turning out to be, one wonders if it’s even worth building/repairing large crewed aircraft.

    5. Considering there’s a good chance that their ICBMs don’t actually work because of neglect and corruption, this is another prong of the Russian nuclear triad that they’re losing. And this was the one that was the most likely to work because they’re the simplest

This was not a „destruction“; it was a „special planned rapid disassembly operation“.

I wonder if that’s one of the bases Russia has moved air defence *out off* recently, believing it was far away enough to cut down on defence?

They don’t have a lot of those planes left. I’m glad it’s one fewer now.

    9. Good. Watching the Russian military burn is great entertainment.

      Maybe get out of Ukraine?

    10. Russia could always employ the bullet proof defensive measure of just fucking leaving Ukraine.

It’s time for Russia to give it up, admit defeat, and move on.

People are missing the point–Russia will never allow their military arsenal to hit „zero“ in any category. They would surrender long before that. The *point* is to make the enemy (Ukraine’s enemy in this case, the aggressor Russia) give up and surrender. Ukraine’s goal isn’t to destroy all of Russia’s military assets, because that isn’t practical. It’s just to cripple Russia enough to give up the war that Russia started, and to fuck off from Ukrainian provinces, including Crimea.
