To be completely honest, I’m not super disappointed by this, I had a hard time seeing him as Kratos (I know its not fair to judge by this one screenshot, but it just doesn’t look right to me).
Pretty unfortunate for the guy though after the work he put into his physique etc.
Why is this even getting a show? The “game” already plays like a fucking movie anyway, just watch a YouTube playthrough
It really sucks to see him recast, especially under these circumstances. Wishing him all the best and a speedy recovery!

Big time injury and losing a potentially career changing role all in one is brutal.
What if we just use Christopher Judge but paint him ashen?
I feel bad for him as this may have been a career changing role for him, but at the same time, Christopher Judge was born for this role
So many people complained when Christopher judge said he was too old to play Kratos and I saw so many people say it’s not like he’s going to get hurt…
I want to start by saying I’ve never played that games as I’m on Xbox, but Ryan Hurst is a great actor and will be quite a loss. He was great in Sons of Anarchy. Hopefully they can find him a role in the series down the line.
They should have waited for him to be 100%

Tbh, from the stills I’ve seen, this might be heavensent for Ryan Hurst because those stills looked ROUGH.

I really hope this is some PR move, that he’s fine, but he saw the writing on the wall for how the show was going to turn out.

After underwhelming receptions to multiple big budget Amazon productions, I wouldn’t be surprised if Bezos said, “Fire this guy and get me an actor people are actually excited about.”
He may be a great actor, but the general public isn’t clamoring to see the show.

That sucks but considering he’s gonna be out for around 8-12 months, I guess they’ve got no choice.
Feel gutted for Ryan, this is a potentially career changing role and he got injured while filming it too. I hope he fully recovers from ACL tear, that injury hurts as hell.
It’s been filming for months now, that’s going to be one hell of a reshoot.
