I just wish the mixing was a bit better in that part since the vocals seem so low, but it might be intentional. The pre-chorus is so good as well; I just wish it were a bit longer. Still, this is a really, really good comeback for them, and I think it will be trending very soon!

I love this, shows the versatility in their sound well. I can appreciate that some people prefer the R&B approach more, but this shows the girls can also put out hype party bangers and deliver! There was actually quite a lot of different singing styles showcased as well… gonna be one you discover new stuff with each time you listen.

I’m going to reserve judgement on this until the album comes out. This song builds to something but doesn’t pay it off in a way that reminds of WDA, but when you listen to WDA and Lemonade back to back, Lemonade pays off what WDA was building to.
Also the bridge makes it sound like this was a song written for a different group, then they were like „we need to make sure people know this is a Girlset song“.
I’m also very interested to see how this translates to their first music show appearances and what that choreo looks like.

Love the song, I kind of wish the prechorus went on for a little longer and the vocals were louder. My absolute favorite parts are the bridge+outro, I really like how they did the transition there. Overall it’s a 8/10 for me.

I respect the mix of reactions, but mostly I wanna say how wild it is to see their trajectory from A2K to Chat. I think we’re already seeing how genuinely versatile they are. The production is great, reminds me of late 2000s/early 2010s party music with the synths in the chorus and dubstep in the prechorus especially. Mostly dig the way they change up the percussion so it doesn’t sound grating despite the repetition.
I can’t put my finger on which song exactly this reminds me of. The „chat“ prechorus is almost giving Run The World (Girls), but there’s another song I’m really thinking of from that era of pop. Taio Cruz maybe??

I can say, listening to it on Spotify helped me like the song more. They do have a lot of harmonies and etc in the song that make it sound great but if you’re just listening on plain speaker you might not hear it.
What I can appreciate that the girls were playing around with vocals and delivery & they’re credited as vocal producers on Spotify. So even if I can’t say I’m the biggest fan, I appreciate them having a hand in their artist, Kendall said this was one of her fans.
