It’s just like it was with NABU. Someone gets the job done, somewhat popular with the people and actually cares for efficiency and the president instantly sees that as a threat. Stupid decisions follow, people are enraged (for a good reason).

Question: Does Fedorov become eligible to run for president? Is that a possible reason for this?

For Europeans who don’t have context, what’s the TL;DR to be up to speed?

This is just sad. Out of all my Ukrainian friends and contacts in the UAF, not a single person is happy with this decision. The hit to morale was quite bad, it seems.

As a Dane: our support was never based on liking Zelensky as an individual, or on some notion that Ukraine *isn’t* corrupt.
Our support was always based on admiring the Ukrainian desire to make their country *less* corrupt. To fight for making Ukraine a better place.
I hate you guys need to deal with this while the war is still ongoing, but it reinforced that supporting Ukrainian independence is the correct thing to do.
