Already expected, now confirmed. Canada is interesting. The jet is probably shaping up into something that would fit the bill for them really very well…but I’m not sure really that the timelines will work out for them. They’re already running their procurement program for the next jet (a toss up between F-35 or Gripen or possibly some mixture of both) and it’s hard to see them waiting out to 2035, or procuring half a replacement fleet in the current climate to flesh it out later.
Side note: the RAF confirmed that GCAP will be boom-refuelled today, which hopefully will spur the early upgrade of the RAFs voyager fleet with booms and allow the refuelling of the RAFs other boom-only aircraft like Rivet Joint, C-17 and P-8
