Das wahre Ziel besteht darin, das Vertrauen in die Medien zu untergraben, bis die Menschen das Gefühl haben, dass sie nichts mehr glauben können, was sie lesen, nicht einmal die Wahrheit.“

I am tired boss
My understanding is that Japanese mass media organizations (such as NHK) already lost the trust of the Japanese public due to them being perceived as a mouthpiece for the Japanese government.
This also may explain the increasing pushback from the public not wanting to pay for NHK, the lack of profitability of NHK, as well as overall TV viewership.
Once trust is lost in traditional media sources, people increasingly look to other sources of “truth”. Unfortunately, the Japanese establishment led themselves to this current situation where external manipulators can position themselves as the “truth” to the Japanese public.
As Trump says “Nothing bad can happen, only good happen.”
yep, this is also why they’re pushing consumer AI so hard despite it having very limited end use cases
