Sensoren zeigten, dass die Herzfrequenz von Pferden zunahm, wenn sie Wölfe sahen, aber sie behielten ihr Pokerface – insgesamt zeigten sie ein unerwartet hohes Maß an kognitiver Verarbeitung für Beutetiere, sagen Forscher.

This is an interesting study because in my experience most horses do not in any sense „keep a poker face“ for perceived threats such as puddles, plastic bags, strange gates, etc.
“unexpectedly high level of cognitive processing for prey animals.” The researchers thought there is no effect in prey animals when they see a predator unless they obviously panic? Really?
First chimps, then dolphins, now I can’t eat horses?! Slippery slope to not being allowed to eat parrots.
No wonder Mr. Ed always beats me at cards.
Absolutely no surprise for any equastrians with horsemanship skills. Some people still believe they are stupid and treat them that way.
