    Wie komme ich am einfachsten und möglicherweise günstigsten nach Görlitz, Sachsen?


    Hallo!

    Ich komme aus Italien und muss in 4 Tagen Görlitz für einen 2-wöchigen Kurs erreichen. Wie komme ich am besten sicher in die Stadt?

    Mir ist bekannt, dass Görlitz keinen Flughafen hat und die nächstgelegenen sind entweder Dresden und Berlin aus Deutschland und Breslau aus Polen.

    Gibt es Zug-Apps, mit denen ich ganz einfach vor der Abfahrt einen Zug buchen kann? Und was schlagen Sie vor?

      Depending on where from Italy you are, and how long you want to take

      Either a train connection (possibly with Eurail? Might be cheaper.), or just a flight to Dresden and then a train to Görlitz, which takes like 1h30m.

      Fly to Wroclaw and use an app called „koleo“ to buy a ticket from there to either Zgorzelec or Görlitz proper. Its about 40 zloty to do so.

      Where do you start? Italy? 
      When you go to Dresden or Berlin, you can take the regional train from there. 

      Since you are staying for longer, the Deutschlandticket is probably your best option, gives you unlimited travel on all forms of local public transport (regional trains, buses, trams, subway, …) for 63€ / month.

      Just make sure to cancel it again, since it’s sold as a subscription – but there is no minimum contract obligation, you can totally just buy it for one month.

      Maybe BER airport and then Deutschlandticket.

      Route with regional trains should be

      BER airport – Königs Wusterhausen – Cottbus – Görlitz

      not the most convenient but affordable. depending on the cost to BER and if you need public transport in Görlitz anyway it’s 2 birds one stone

      If you are short on cash, have lots of time / little else to do and are located in the north of Italy, I would suggest taking the train to Innsbruck / Mittenwald and then use Deutschland-Ticket to travel from Mittenwald to Görlitz.

      Or take a long-distance bus (Eurolines, Flixbus) to Munich and then use Deutschland-Ticket from Munich

      Deutschland-Ticket costs 63 EUR for a calendar month and covers all local public transport in Germany. Excluded are fast long-distance trains, but slow local trains are included. You can string slow local trains together to cover all of Germany. It is not going to be fun, it is going to be exhausting, but unless you can get a really cheap flight on short notice (LOL!) that is probably your best bet.

      Train to Salzburg Austria then use Deutschland ticket (€59 iirc) to use regional trains from there.

      Where are you leaving from in Italy?

      Flying to Prague is also an option, then the train to Dresden is about two hours, then another 1.5 hours on the regional to Gorlitz.

      prague is also not too far and a bigger airport than wroclaw. you can get from there by train to görlitz either via liberec or dresden. http://www.cd.cz is the czech railway, page available in english
