I used to get gentle wing swoopies on my head from my old flock. It was 100% a sign of affection, I miss them.

Did you mistreat a crow recently? If yes, you will be watched and punished. If no, cheeky birds exist or it misjudged the flight.

If the looked like that picture, it’s not a raven but a hooded crow: they’re native to eastern Europe and western Asia. West of a line extending roughly from Rostock to Munich, the plain black carrion crow is more common.
Carrion crows have often been the subject of similar myths and legends as ravens — they were often associated with death, pestilence and witchcraft. I’m not sure if the same legends were attached to hooded crows, though.
Crows, ravens and other corvids are very intelligent, and it’s entirely possible that this crow deliberately hit you just for fun. I have [a very old video of a crow making fun of one of my cats](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1NTqWcvz5Ec).

While there are also ravens (and jackdaws, and rooks) in Berlin, this ain’t one.
As long you get hit by a crow you’re ok. I got missed by a flying goose by less than a meter, that was a close encounter 🙈
You’ll most probably die, as we all do … sooner or later.
