Afaik the orientation doesnt matter much, so this is technically correct in the context of the orientation, or am I missing something?

Let’s talk about unintended consequences. Brazil now needs to change it’s flag too.

The stars on the Brazilian flag are shown in the Southern Hemisphere. By rotating South to the top, the stars on the flag need to be rotated to the upper part of the blue circle on the flag.

I don’t disagree the core idea, but splitting in half several countries is not a smart move.

At least the „Eurocentric“ map doesn’t split countries in two

This is how maps were usually drawn in Europe well into the Renaissance.

Nowadays just astrological charts still have south on top (MC in natal charts) and east (Ascendent) on the left.

Not hating btw, it just feels so awkward to look at this map.


And that made a lot of people that doesn’t understand anything about maps complain saying it’s bad or worng and that the president is dumb (as if the fucking president made it on his own)

Brazil’s northernmost point is closer to Canada than it is to Brazil’s southernmost point.

We up here in the north don’t understand how people in southern countries see the world. New Zealand, however, is always off the map.

No freaking way anyone is going go have a good time reading this. I live in southern Brazil btw, but this is just a complete nope, it appears to serve nothing but ideological purposes that are better not to give attention to.
