lectured at and over taxed by excrement politicians
Bit rich for a man who also speaks using his own excrement
This man was in government less than two years ago by the way
I’m happy to trust Ryan on this issue, he is an expert and successfully implemented a steaming pile of excrement whilst in government.
Why don’t we just plop a glacier or two onto the Wicklow mountains like a real civilized nation smh my head
At least we’ll have our own excrement to grow our food in our window boxes.
Eamonn Ryan’s solutions however were just to add taxes to everything.
That water looks grim enough already without him pointing out what’s in it.
Hes not wrong
All it would take to change it is for lads at pubs and music festivals to wash their filthy hands after using the jacks
It’s the circle of shi$ out here in the boonies. We do our thing, it goes in the septic where nothing much happens and then it is either pumped out by the local farmer, who spreads it on his fields, or it overflows in the yard. We then consume remnants of said shi$ and the circle is complete.
A good water filter helps.
I dislike Eamon Ryan, he only focuses on stuff at high abstract levels. Whenever it comes to implementing the ideas he runs into all kinds of problems.
His main criticism here despite the headline is the fact that government seems to be pushing for more one off housing instead of growing villages. I agree we should not be allowing much more one off housing. However new jobs are going to be in towns and cities, our towns and cities need to grow and they can’t keep growing out.
And not only our excrement. Walk any beach and you see selfish, oblivious people letting their dogs run wild despite the signs.
He really is the most irritating individual , he had his chances in government and did sweet f all, except make things more expensive for the average household
He’s full of shit.
Probably should have done something about it then but the man was too busy sleeping
It never ceases to amaze how this country manages to have all the downsides of a sparsely populated and rural country and all the downsides of a densely populated and urban country at the same time.
Eamon Ryan admits he drinks poo
We should be dealing with waste processing, water leaks, legal reform, nitrates in the rivers and lakes, and building electric infrastructure.
But we’re still endlessly rehashing the Children’s Hospital, Thornton Hall and Slaintecare with the same political parties as long as I have been alive.
People love to criticise Eamonn Ryan and the Green Party on their record in government. However, as a very much minority partner, they achieved a lot. Much of what they achieved is being dismantled by the current government which pays only lip-service to its obligations on climate and environment.
Their programmes on public and active transport for example were a good start but much of their efforts have been stalled by the current government.
Their lead on the climate action plan was intended to change Ireland’s position as a laggard to a leading example of that change. We are stumbling again under the current government.
The current government is intentionally ignoring the crisis in our rivers and lakes caused by sewage and agricultural run-off. The destruction is heart-breaking.
I honestly think we need more Green Party TDs to give future generations a chance at existing in a liveable world.
