Ich wusste, dass Berlin sein berühmtes Ampelmännchen hat, aber ich wusste nicht, dass München ein eigenes Fußgängersignaldesign hat, bis ich dieses entdeckte.
Ich war noch nicht in so vielen deutschen Städten, aber was mir wirklich gefallen hat, ist, wie verschiedene Städte ihre eigenen kleinen Design-Eigenheiten zu haben scheinen. Sogar etwas so Gewöhnliches wie eine Ampel kann ein wenig lokalen Charakter haben.
Gibt es andere deutsche Städte mit einzigartigen Fußgängersignalen oder interessanten Straßenbeschilderungen, auf die es sich zu achten lohnt?

There are the standard and two different ones in Munich. The one on your picture, around the area Glockenbach and a few (3 I believe) with „Pumuckl“ on them.

Not typical of Munich, several German cities have some of these. Berlin, Hamburg, Frankfurt, Köln, Bremen, Mainz, Hildesheim.

In haidhausen are some pedestrian traffic signs with Pumuckl, a famous character in childrens books.
Many german towns have some traffic lights with a local design at special places.

Trier has one with Karl Marx and Bonn one with Beethoven.
They come from Vienna, it was introduced there for a Pride Event like 10 years ago and people loved it so it stayed permanently since then. Not all traffic lights, just a few, but very noticeable all throughout Vienna.
Some other cities around the world adopted it, too, for LGBTQ-friendly neighborhoods

Dinslaken has a guy with a pit lamp.
They are originally from Vienna and were introduced for the Eurovision Song Contest in 2015. Its nice to see that they have found their way to other cities

The [classic design](https://www.deutsch-perfekt.com/sites/deutsch-perfekt.spotlight-verlag.de/files/2019-06/shutterstock_253417984-online.jpg) was actually the standard in East Germany. After reunification, a lot of people were dismayed when they started to be replaced by the boring West German stick figures, and eventually the authorities relented and allowed the East German design. So you’ll find them in many East German cities, and they spread to West Germany as well.

Too many to mention, although very few in Bavaria — I understand that state law makes it difficult to get them approved. But in other states, a lot of cities have lights that celebrate some local figure of piece of history, or (as here) gay pride.
Sidenote those Ampelmännchen aren’t specific to Berlin but are just the old GDR Design, there basically everywhere in east Germany.
