      As an italian I’ve seen no short of lovely beaches… this easily ranks top 5, truly breathtaking!

      And in most other countries a beach like that would be overcrowded on a sunny day

      There’s a beautiful beach near us that was relatively unknown upto a couple of years ago, access is very limited and there’s parking for a handful of cars.

      Someone decided the whole world had to know about this beach and so put it on Google maps with 5 stars.

      Now on hot days the whole place is overflowing with cars and campervans, people getting stuck on the beach, the place is chaos.
      Thanks to the Internet and social media these hidden gems are no longer hidden.

      Access to beaches by decent roads, parking , toilets and lifeguards are sadly lacking in all these beautiful instagram places too.
      Was at a beach yesterday (briefly!!) with none of these things in place and thousands of people there. Two dirty portaloos down a narrow road to a beach with no lifeguards and a bit of a lay by for parking is a poor reflection of the county council

      That’s Waterford in general, not great for surf but best beaches in the country for swimming.
