Wojciech Jerzy Has may be one of my top 5 favorite directors, and The Hourglass Sanatorium is his crowning achievement imho

I have watched it many times, and have suppositions on what it’s about; but to speculate openly would causes some spoilers.

It’s one of those movies that gives something more with every viewing. And as much of a mindfuck as it is, it’s an experience worth sharing.

Sort of like a cinematic fever dream, while on a shroom trip.
