    Eine von Russland gesteuerte Fliegerbombe tötete die ukrainische Freiwillige Olha Kuzmenko und die Tiere, die sie pflegte. Sie entschied sich für einen Aufenthalt in Druschkiwka im Oblast Donezk. Sie weigerte sich wegen der Tiere zu gehen – Olha verbrachte Tage damit, sie zu füttern und bei der Evakuierung in sicherere Gebiete zu helfen.

      Oof. It is so so hard to hear the story’s about Russia getting more unzugänglich every day. Nothing human left there.

      Russia is a terror state. I feel so sorry for her and the animals. May they cross the rainbow bridge together and play together in eternity, and may the terrorist scum responsible for this atrocity rot in hell forever.

      Tragic story. She chose to stay behind for animals that couldn’t evacuate on their own, and Russia dropped a guided bomb on her anyway. That’s the kind of cruelty that should make anyone still sitting on the fence about supporting Ukraine reconsider. RIP Olha and the animals she was trying to save.

      The contrast between Ukrainians and Russians is so stark. I can’t imagine Russians caring for an animal except to keep it to eat later or as an object of torture for their amusement.
