A dash of lime and a salted glass? With beer?

    4. I’m always at a loss to understand why i see people drinking Corona beer with lemon or lime, yet you’l never see them lobbing a lemon or lime into a Heineken, Rockshore, Budweiser or whatever.

Apart from trying to look the ‚part‘, or cool, is there any other reason?

I own a Mexican restaurant. This is our michelada recipe. Pint glass, wet rim with lime wedge and then edge it with Tajin if you can get it. Salt if you can’t. 2 big cubes of ice. Fill 1/3 with clamato if you can get it. Tomato juice if you can’t. A few dashes of worcestershire sauce, the juice from one whole lime and a dash of jugo if you can get it. Top up with a mexican beer.

I was in a bar in Mexico many years ago looking through their beer list.
I decided to try the Michelada,  not knowing that it is full of salt.

The bar staff got a great laugh watching the clueless Irish guy trying to get through his pint of beer and salt, the stuff is absolutely horrendous!

Or just an ice cold can of strawberry and lime Sotma from lidl. So much cheaper and much less effort.

I’ve been drinking beers over lime and ice during the recent warmth, I love ipa’s and most of the hoppy beers are citrus forward anyway.

I like them beers mixed with blood orange or grapefruit too.

Fuck off with the salt though.

I loved these when I was in Mexico. Was there one called a Cubana or something with like soy sauce or wochester sauce or something? I’m certain I saw them being sold with gummy worms as well…

Corona with lime is an abomination so instead we should have Corona with lime with extra steps?

I’ll stick to drinking an endless supply of alcohol free radlers from the local central/eastern European shop.

    11. My brother in Law lived in Mexico for a few years and showed me these, although he does them half and half. It also works really well with lemons 🍋

ETA: also tequila on the salt rim is fucking bangin!!

Tinto de verano. Less faff. Pint glass. Half ice. Half red wine. Half fanta* lemon.

      *Other brands are available.

    13. „Corona with lime is an abomination and did NOT come from Mexico, let me redpill you all on the TRUE mexican drink: Corona with lime and salt“

😂😂as a Hispanic I find it funny you guys are just discovering this. Stick a small Jalapeño sliver so you can sweat and cool down more haha. Theres also the michelada if you’re brave enough to try one (it’s amazing), and if you’re hungover then you can make a Michelada and drink a pedialyte and go to your 9-12 hour construction gig, hang over cured.

Kalimoxo. The Basque timto de verano.
Mix 50:50 cheap red wine and cola.
      Serve with lots of ice.

Don’t put lime in your corona, it’s an abomination. Instead put corona in your lime.
      Cheers.

    17. I need tomato juice, I need Tajin, I need salsa Valentina, and about 5 grilled prawns on a stick in there.

Make juice. That’s what they do in hot muslim countries. Alcohol just makes you more dehydrated
