Labour rights need to carefully balance the rights of workers versus legitimate public interests in economic activity. This balance should be determined by elected representatives and the courts. We don’t need unelected senators piping in.
The Senate fulfilling their role as the wealthy elite having the final say in Canadian politics. Unfortunately Canada and the US both have oligarchy baked into our constitutions
We are not subjects of the state, the state is subject to us.
You always have the right to gather, and the right to free association. If you and others like you choose to gather, and choose to not work, there is nothing the government can do.
